We are committed to joining in the fight against modern slavery to ensure a slave-free supply chain. Which is why we are proud members of the Slave-Free Alliance.
What is the Slave-Free Alliance?
Slave-Free Alliance is part of the pioneering global anti-slavery charity Hope for Justice. They support responsible businesses who want to protect their supply chains and operations from modern slavery.
Ethical, sustainable, responsible.
Our membership is part of our Sustainability 2025 strategy - our ongoing commitment to acting responsibly and sustainably for our people, customers, communities and the planet. We will welcome regular reviews of our sites, suppliers, and processes. As well as running ongoing modern slavery awareness training for our staff and suppliers to ensure they are equipped with the skills they need to spot the potential signs and how to report them.
“We chose to partner with Slave-Free Alliance because they instilled us with confidence that they will help us deliver our objectives in building an ethical, sustainable and transparent supply chain with all of our suppliers in the UK market," said David Phillips, Logistics and Supply Chain Director at Sunbelt Rentals. "Our Sustainability 2025 strategy is focused on acting responsibly in every aspect of our work and business life, and we are committed to leading our industry in this area.”
Marc Stanton, Director at Slave-Free Alliance, added: "We are delighted that Sunbelt Rentals is joining us in the fight against modern slavery, and we are looking forward to working closely together to help achieve our shared goal; a slave-free supply chain. It’s wonderful to see this commitment from Sunbelt Rentals to play its part by ensuring that workers are not exploited. We hope that many other businesses will follow its example, and join with us.”
